Overview
This project was done in the course of Vision in Product Design. Through the game, I want people to be more open minded about death and build their own belief about the meaning of life by letting them face the “disturbing truth” in a close yet safe way.

Worldview

Due to the unknown nature of death, humanity has always harbored a fear towards it. To combat this fear, some find solace in beliefs about the afterlife, while others feel lost in the meaning of life and death.

As society and culture evolve, people are gradually adopting a more open attitude towards the topic of death, especially in relation to living a better life. For instance, end-of-life care allows for a more dignified passing, and new types of funerals offer better ways for loved ones to mourn while being environmentally friendly.

Interestingly, when death seems sufficiently unreal and distant, people do not resist it. In games, people positively face character deaths (game over) because they know they can start over. In some fictional works, death is even endowed with aesthetic significance, appreciated and enjoyed by audiences.
